Installation: How To Connect Your Gather Voices Account with your Zoom Account
There are 2 ways to get your Gather Voices account connected with your Zoom account:
Option 1: From Gather Voices: The (Data Sync) menu on your Gather Voices instance.
Option 2: From The Zoom Marketplace
Option 1: Install From Gather Voices
1. Login into your Gather Voices account.
2. From the Dashboard: Open the Data Sync menu from your Gather Voices instance and select Zoom Connect.
3. Click on the Connect to Zoom Button:
4. You’ll now be asked to log into your Zoom account (in case you are not logged in).
5. If the authentication step was successful, you will be asked to authorize the Gather Voices Connect app to be installed.
6. Now you are connected successfully to your Zoom account!
Option 2: Install from the Zoom Marketplace
1. Navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace at https://marketplace.zoom.us/
2. Locate the Gather Voices Connect App from the list of Apps
3. Install Gather Voices App from the marketplace
You will be redirected to Gather Voices to enter your platform Subdomain.
You will be asked to authenticate on Gather Voices’ instance in case you are not
logged in.
4. Now you are connected successfully to your Zoom account!
Usage: How To Get Your Zoom Recordings Into Your Gather Voices Instance
1. Log into your Gather Voices Instance
2. From the Dashboard, select Data Sync->Zoom Connect
3. You will see 3 tabs:
Recorded Meetings: These are videos that are saved on your Zoom account but have not yet been migrated to your Gather Voices instance.
Migrated Videos: These are videos that have already been migrated to your Gather Voices instance.
Auto-Migrate Configuration: This allows you to manage the Auto-Migration options, if you want to automatically import all the Zoom recordings.
Importing a Zoom Recording from Your Gather Voices Instance
1. Log into your Gather Voices Instance
2. From the Dashboard, select Data Sync > Zoom Connect
3. Go to the Recorded Meetings Tab
4. Finding your recordings:
By default, the system will retrieve recordings from the last 30 days
If you are looking for older meetings, change the meeting start date to the respective month of your recording and clicking the filter button to update the list.
5. From the list of available recordings to import, you can see the following for each recording:
Meeting Topic: This is the title of the recording as set in Zoom
Start Date: This is the start date of the recording as set in Zoom
File Size: This is how large the recording is in Zoom
Status: This is the status of the recording as it pertains to your Gather Voices migration. Options are: —Ready to Migrate: This recording is ready to be migrated —Queued: The migration has begun, but is not yet complete
6. Once you have identified the recordings you would like to import:
Check the box next to the recording you would like to import.
Note that you can select the checkbox in the header row to select all the recordings on the screen.
Once you have checked the box(es) for the recordings you want to import, hit the “Migrate Selected” button at the top.
You will be prompted to select the Group in your instance that you would like to migrate the recordings to.
7. Once you have selected the Group, you will be prompted to decide what Request to add the videos to. You can create a new Request or select an existing Request.
8. The selected videos will be added to the Queue to be migrated, and their status will change to “Queued”.
Note: If the video you are seeking is not visible, you can refresh the list by clicking the “Refresh” button on the top right of the list. This will get the latest list of videos from Zoom based on the start date you have selected.
9. Select the Migrated Videos tab to see the videos that have already been migrated.
Controlling the Auto-Migrate Settings
You can set Gather Voices to automatically migrate any new video:
Click on the Auto-Migrate Configuration tab
Turn the toggle to On
Select the group that the videos will be added to
To disable this feature, turn the toggle to Off
Uninstallation: How To Disconnect Your Zoom Account From Your Gather Voices Instance
If you want to Uninstall the Zoom Connect feature:
Login to your Zoom Account
Navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace
Click Manage->Installed Apps or search for the Gather Voices app
Click on the Gather Voices App
Click Uninstall
This will completely remove the Zoom Connect application from your Gather Voices account.
Any recordings you already migrated will remain in your Gather Voices instance.
Any new recordings will require you to reinstall the app in order to access them.
