The Challenge

Before Gather Voices, ASAE's video strategy hit a ceiling:

  • Video production was limited to large, costly projects tied to major events. There was no infrastructure to collect content consistently or between those moments, leaving a massive content gap for the rest of the year. 
  • ASAE had no scalable way to amplify the voices of Black, Hispanic/Latinx, AAPI, and LGBTQ+ members, or to surface authentic peer stories that could support certification recruitment and DEIA programming.
  • Multiple business units needed video content independently, but a fragmented, manual process made coordination difficult and resource-intensive.
  • Member and staff bandwidth was limited. Traditional production processes created friction and made high-volume, authentic content collection nearly impossible to sustain.

  • Enabled event promotion through speaker, staff, and member videos ahead of programming, creating authentic content that drives attendance and engagement across channels
